2011 College Recruiting
More important then winning any championship at the youth level is the development of student athletes. We know the process and how to get your sons ready for and into college level football. Therefore, FAYFL coaches continue to help the boys after leaving our youth program and moving onto high school. We assist players and parents in the college recruiting process by providing off-season training and college recruiting tours. ..Read more

Now offering National and All American AYF Play
Fredericksburg Canes compete in both National and All American AYF Divisions. National division teams include Tiny Might through Jr. Midget teams. These teams compete in an aged/weighted division with players as young as 5 years old and as old as 13. The Fredericksburg Canes teams all compete at the highest levels of football and are the stepping stones to successful high school football careers.

The Canes Elite team also competes in the National Tournament Program but under the All American division which has no weight restrictions. This Elite team is comprised of area all star 8th graders that excel at the game of football. In addition to top area middle school players these athletes come from FAYFL Bears and Canes teams. Players in this program have the opportunity to train year round through various speed, agility, conditioning, and football skill clinics/camps as well as spring 7-on-7 flag leagues/tournaments. Participation in the Canes Elite Program offers many challenges for its players and prepares them for success in High School and beyond. Most FAYFL players start within the aged/weighted divisions then if accepted end their youth football career on the Fredericksburg Canes Elite All American Team.

FAYFL Celebrates Eight Years with American Youth Football

Bears win 2009 AYF JPW Div 1 National Championship

Please join me in congratulating our 2009 AYF Division 1 JPW National Champion Bears. The Bears, coaching staff, and parent’s hard work has paid off. The Bears have brought home the first AYF National Championship to the area. They are also the first FAYFL team to win a National Championship. I think the entire community is proud to have such great players, coaching staff and parents. They have represented us all with the utmost sportsmanship and character. Their performance at Nationals and a 27-0 championship game win has extended their winning streak to 42 consecutive games. Congratulations to Coach Wood and team….

FAYFL Mighty Mite and Jr Pee Wee Bears Compete in AYF Championships
Congrats to our Mighty Mite and Jr Pee Wee Bears for being the first FAYFL teams to compete in the AYF Regional & National Championship Tournaments. The JPW Bears have brought home the VAYFA Div 1 Championship, dominated in Virginia Beach to win the AYF State Championship., and placed 3rd in the AYF Div 1 Atlantic Regionals. Although they lost the Semi Final AYF regional game they finished with a powerful win against the North Carolina State Champion Mint Hill Mountaineers.

The MM Bears finished their season 13-0 winning the VAYFA, FAYFL Harvest Bowl and AYF MM Invitational in Orlando Florida. The powerful Bears defense allowed only 6 first downs and were un-scored on in the 2008 season. This year’s performance extended their winning streak to 26 games. Way to go Bears and we look forward to another successful season in 2009. Read more
